Appeal after woman sexually assaulted on bus - Norwich

Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen a woman being sexually assaulted on a bus by an elderly man in Norwich during the morning of Friday September 4 2020.

The incident happened as the woman, who was distressed and does not want to give her age, was standing waiting to get off the number 44 bus that had travelled to Castle Meadow in Norwich between 11.30am and 11.35am when the incident happened.  

The man was sitting down to the left of the woman, two rows back, while she was standing near him waiting to get off the bus. He is described as being aged around 65 with grey hair.

The bus was scheduled to start its journey at Holt Hempstead Road / Charles Road junction at 9:33am and arrive at Castle Meadow at 11.19am hours. On the day of the incident the bus was running around 10 minutes late when it arrived in Norwich.
