Appeal after Diss robbery

Police are appealing for information after a man was attacked during a robbery at a business premises in Diss.

The incident happened at approximately 2am this morning (Monday 21 September 2020), on Mere Street.

While closing a pizza shop for the evening, an employee was approached by what is believed to be four men.

The suspects are reported to have demanded money from the victim, before attacking him.

The victim received punches and kicks to the head and body, which resulted in multiple injuries to the face and body, and loss of some teeth.

The victim is also believed to have been threatened with a weapon. He was later taken to hospital for treatment.

Our initial enquiries suggest this may have been a targeted attack.

Officers are appealing to anyone who may have seen suspicious activity, or who holds CCTV or dashcam footage from the area at the time.
