Fatal crash - appeal to trace Fiat 500 driver

Police investigating a fatal collision near Thetford are appealing for help to trace the driver of a Fiat 500 seen close to the scene.

The crash happened on Thursday (22 August 2019) at around 8.30pm on the A1066 Mundford Road, near to the Croxton Road junction, and involved a yellow VW camper van and pedestrian. The pedestrian, a local man in his 70s, sadly died at the scene.

Officers are keen to speak with the driver of what is thought to be a white, or light-coloured, Fiat 500 seen close to the scene at the time of the collision. It is believed the driver of this car may be a key witness to the collision and the events leading up to it.

Fatal collision appeal A1066

Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision on the A1066 Mundford Road near Thetford yesterday evening.

Police were called at 8:30pm to reports of a collision between a yellow VW camper van and pedestrian, just prior to the junction with Croxton Road.

Sadly the pedestrian, a local man in his 70s, died at the scene.
