Serious collision in Aylsham

Police are appealing for witnesses to a serious road traffic collision which happened in Aylsham at the weekend.

Officers were called shortly after 3.40pm on Saturday afternoon (16 September 2017) to the B1145 Cawston Road in Aylsham near to the Jeesal Cawston Park Hospital.

Emergency services attended the scene, including the air ambulance, responding to reports that a blue Peugeot 206 had collided with a tree.

The female driver and two of her passengers suffered minor injuries and were taken to Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.

A male passenger of the car was taken to the Addenbrooks by air ambulance, after suffering serious injuries, where he remains in a critical condition.

The road reopened at 7.45pm.

Police are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the collision or the manner of driving of the vehicle prior to the incident.
