Police continue to investigate Great Yarmouth death

Police are continuing to investigate the death of a man in Great Yarmouth.

The body of a man in his 30s was discovered in the River Bure at around 3.35pm on Thursday 18 July.

Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances leading up to the man’s death and whilst it is being treated as unexplained at this time, it is not thought to be suspicious.

A post mortem examination will take place in due course and a file will be prepared for the coroner ahead of an inquest.

Body of man recovered from Great Yarmouth river

Police can confirm the body of a man has been discovered in the River Bure in Great Yarmouth.
 
Officers were called at 3.35pm on Thursday 18 July to reports of a body in the River Bure close to Bure Park.
 
The body of a man has been recovered and a police seal has been put in place next to the river.
 
Enquiries are in their very early stages and the death is being treated as unexplained at this time.
