Appeal to help trace dog following burglary

Police are appealing for help to trace a dog which is believed to have been stolen during a burglary in Wymondham.

A property in Stanfield Road was broken into between 4.30pm and 6pm on Wednesday 31 July and jewellery and cash were stolen.

Following the burglary the owners of the property also discovered their Pomeranian dog, Marco, was missing and officers are investigating the possibility that the dog was also stolen.

Police are keen to trace the dog in order to reunite it with its owners and are appealing for anyone who may have seen it – or witnessed any suspicious activity in the area around the time of the burglary - to come forward.

Officers would particularly like to hear from anyone who saw a man, described as white, of average build and wearing a dark top, driving a maroon coloured van in the area on Wednesday 31 July.

Anyone with information should contact DC Robert Blade at Norwich CID on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
