Three men charged after A11 drugs seizure – Op Gravity

Three men have been charged in connection with drug offences after a large quantity of drugs were found in a car on the A11 on Monday 12 November 2018.

Officers stopped a Toyota Prius at Cringleford at approximately 1.40pm and following a search of the vehicle they discovered approximately 700 wraps of Class A drugs, with an estimated street value of £14,000 and a machete.

Three men were arrested and taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning.

20-year-old Sarko Bahmani of Gladstone Street in Bedford, 19-year-old Mohammed Yaseen of St. Michaels Road in Bedford, and 38-year-old Rana Muhammed Ali of Haven Place in London, have all been charged with possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, namely heroin and crack cocaine. Sarko Bahmani was also charged in connection with possession of an offensive weapon.

All three men were remanded in custody to appear at Norwich Magistrates Court today, Wednesday 14 November 2018.

Police have arrested three men after a large quantity of drugs were found in a car on the A11 yesterday afternoon (Monday 12 November).

Officers stopped a Toyota Prius at Cringleford at approximately 1.40pm and following a search of the vehicle they discovered approximately 700 wraps of Class A drugs, with an estimated street value of £14,000, and a machete.

A 19-year-old man and a 20-year-old man from Bedfordshire, and a 38 year old man from London, were all arrested in connection with drug supply offences. The 20-year-old has also been arrested on suspicion of being is possession of an offensive weapon.

All three men remain in police custody at this time and enquiries are on-going.
