Appeal following assault in in Norwich

Police are appealing for witnesses to an assault in Norwich which happened last week.

The victim, a man in his 70s, was walking his dog on Bawburgh Lane just off Dereham Road at approximately 9.30am on Thursday 6 September when he was approached by a man with a Staffy type dog.

A verbal altercation took place during which the victim was assaulted leaving him with injuries to his face and back.

The suspect is described as being in his 50s of a heavy build. He was wearing a thick white jumper, light shaded trousers and a floppy white hat. It is also believed his dog was attached to a retractable lead.
