Aggravated burglary appeal
Detectives from Norwich CID are investigating a number of lines of enquiry this morning after a house in Catton Grove was burgled last night (Friday 11 January 2019).
At about 6:50pm, three men, all thought to be brandishing knives, forced their way in to a property on Hunter Road and threatened the residents, which included a number of young children, before stealing a mobile phone and leaving the scene. No one was injured during the incident.
All three men are described as black, two were around 6ft tall with one slightly shorter and all were wearing dark clothes and balaclavas.
Inspector Graham Dalton, the local policing lead, expressed concern for the victims saying: "This must have been very distressing for those involved and I want to reassure the victims and other local residents that we are doing everything we can to find the offenders quickly. I do believe this is connected to Operation Gravity drug dealing and would ask anyone with information regarding those involved to contact the police immediately."
Anyone who witnessed the incident or has information concerning it should contact Norwich CID on 101 or alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
