Norwich stabbing investigation

Police are continuing to investigate a serious assault involving students in Norwich.

Officers were called to Bluebell Road just before 3am following reports a number of people were involved in a fight. During the incident a man in his 20s was stabbed in the stomach.

Three people arrested on suspicion of assault GBH were questioned by detectives; a 20-year-old man has been released on bail until 5 January 2020 while a 19-year-old man and 20-year-old woman have been released under investigation while enquiries continue.

The victim was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital where he remains in a stable condition. Officers have confirmed the victim and suspects are all students from the UEA.

Officers are continuing with their enquiries and would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or has information concerning it. Detectives are continuing to investigate a serious assault in which a man in his 20s was stabbed.

The incident happened in the early hours of this morning (Wednesday 11 December 2019) when police were called to Bluebell Road just before 3am following reports a number of people were involved in a fight.

Officers arrived on scene to find a man in his 20s with serious injuries to his abdomen.

The victim, a student, was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

Two men, aged 19 and 20, and a 20-year-old woman, were arrested a short time later on George Burrow Road on suspicion of assault GBH and remain in custody at Wymondham Police Investigation Centre in where they are being questioned.

Police cordoned off an area on Bluebell Road while initial scene enquiries were carried out and this has since been lifted.

Officers are continuing with their enquiries and would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or has information concerning it.

Police have launched an investigation following a serious assault in Norwich, in which a man was stabbed.

Officers were called just before 3am this morning (Wednesday 11 December 2019) to Bluebell Road, to reports that a man in his 20s had been stabbed.

The victim suffered serious injuries, and was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, where he remains.

Three people have been arrested in connection with the incident. A male and female were taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre, and one male was taken to Aylsham Police Investigation Centre for questioning.

Police have cordoned off two areas in Norwich whilst initial enquiries are carried out.
