Man arrested after drugs and knife seized

Police have arrested a man after seizing a knife and drugs in the city.

Officers attended The Runnel in Norwich at approximately 9.45pm yesterday evening (Tuesday 10 October) and seized approximately 45 wraps of what is believed to be heroin and a knife.

A 48-year-old man from the Norwich area has been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a Class A drug and possession of an offensive weapon. He remains in police custody at this time.

PC Dan Taylor said: "This arrest demonstrates how police in Norwich remain committed to tackling the supply and distribution of Class A drugs under Operation Gravity.

"I hope this arrest also reassures the local community that we will act upon concerns about drug related crime and I would urge anyone who has any information about drug dealing in the city to contact Norfolk Police on 101.”
