Man charged over Didlington fatal crash

A man has been charged following a road traffic collision in Didlington which happened on Tuesday 9 October 2018.

It comes after officers were called to Foulden Road at 6.30pm to reports a green Daihatsu FourTrak 4x4 and a blue Scania Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) were involved in a collision.

The driver of the Daihatsu, a man in his 30s, sadly died at the scene.

The driver of the HGV, Grigore Anton, aged, 46 from Romania, was uninjured. He was later charged with causing death by dangerous driving and remanded in custody.

His first hearing was today (Thursday 11 October) where he was further remanded in custody until his next hearing on November 8 at Norwich Crown Court.

Man sadly dies following Didlington colllision

A man has sadly died following a road traffic collision in Didlington which happened yesterday evening (Tuesday 9 October 2018).

Officers were called to Foulden Road at 6.30pm to reports a green Daihatsu FourTrak 4x4 and a blue Scania Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) were involved in a collision.

The driver of the Daihatsu, a man in his 30s, sadly died at the scene.

The driver of the HGV was uninjured.

A man aged in his 40s was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre (PIC) for questioning where he remains.

Police would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or the manner of driving of either vehicle before the collision.
