Man arrested in connection with Thetford stabbing

Detectives are investigating after a man was stabbed in Thetford in the early hours on Sunday (7 July 2019).

Officers were called to an address on Icknield Way at about 12.50am following reports a man had been stabbed.

Paramedics attended and the man was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital where he received treatment for two stab wounds to his arm and stomach, described as minor injuries and was discharged later in the day.   

A cordon was put in place outside the address while initial enquiries were carried out and lifted around 11.30am.

Enquiries led officers to arrest a 31-year-old man in connection with the incident. The suspect was taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre and questioned. He has been released on bail until Wednesday 31 July while enquiries continue.
