Police make arrests under Operation Gravity

Police have made three arrests under Op Gravity in Norwich and Great Yarmouth.

Officers attended an address in Ordnance Road, Great Yarmouth yesterday morning (Tuesday 9 January) and seized a quantity of Class A drugs.

Two men were arrested at the address.

Glonar Thomas, aged 18 and from London, has since been charged with two counts of possession with intent to supply a Class A drug. He has been remanded into custody and is due to appear before Norwich Magistrates Court this morning (Wednesday 10 January).

The second man, aged in his 50s and from the Great Yarmouth area, has been released under investigation whilst enquiries continue.

A third man was arrested by officers from the Safer Neighbourhood Action Team  in Norwich yesterday afternoon.

Officers from the Safer Neighbourhood Action Team stopped a man in Springbank at approximately 2pm and seized a quantity of Class A drugs, cash and a mobile phone.

Arron Leon, aged 20 and from Enfield, has since been charged with two counts of possession with intent to supply a Class A drug and one count of assaulting a police officer.

Leon has been remanded into custody and will appear before Norwich Magistrates Court tomorrow morning (Thursday 11 January).
