Norwich attempted robbery appeal

Police are appealing for witnesses following an attempted robbery in Plumstead Road in Norwich on Friday night (4 October).

The incident happened at about 7.15pm outside the Aldi store when a group of four or five teenagers on bikes approached a cyclist, demanding his bike.

The victim, a man in his 50s, cycled away across the roundabout onto Plumstead Road East where suspects followed him, blocking traffic on the roundabout causing motorists to stop.

The man eventually lost the group before cycling home. He was not injured.

Officers are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or motorists who were travelling in the area at the time and recall cyclists blocking the road. Police would like to hear from anyone with relevant dash cam footage.
