Hemsby fire confirmed not suspicious

Police can confirm they are not treating a fatal house fire in Hemsby as suspicious.

Police, Fire and Ambulance services were called to Ormesby Glebe in Hemsby at around 7.20pm on Sunday 4 March. Sadly a woman aged in her 80s died.

The body is still yet to be formally identified and a post mortem examination will take place in due course.

Officers, assisted by the Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service, are yet to establish the cause of the fire and whilst it is being treated as unexplained, it is not believed to be suspicious.

Investigations continue into Hemsby fire

Emergency services are continuing to investigate a fire in Hemsby where sadly someone died.

The Police, Fire and Ambulance Service were called to Ormesby Glebe in Hemsby at around 7.20pm yesterday (Sunday 4 March 2018).

A cordon remains in place and the road remains closed whilst officers, assisted by the Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service, investigate the incident and determine the cause.

The body is yet to be formally identified but it is believed to be that of the occupant, a woman aged in her 80s.
