Appeal following an armed robbery in Attleborough

Police are appealing for information following an armed robbery in Attleborough on Thursday 3 January.

Officers were called at 7.30pm to reports a man, armed with what was believed to be a hand gun, had entered the Royal Garden restaurant on Besthorpe Road and demanded money from the till.

The suspect took a quantity of cash before leaving the premises.

No one was hurt during the incident.

The suspect is described as white, aged in his early 20s and approximately 5ft 8 tall. He was wearing a black mask, a dark coloured top and black trousers.

Anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity in the area at the time of the robbery, or anyone with information, should contact Thetford CID on 101.
