Man arrested following sexual assault in Norwich

Police have arrested a man in connection with a sexual assault in Norwich.

A woman in her late 20s was walking along Unthank Road, close to Beechbank, at approximately 4.15am on Monday 1 January when she was approached by a man who sexually assaulted her.

A man aged in his 20s and from the Norwich area was arrested yesterday evening. He has since been released under investigation whilst enquiries continue. 

Appeal following sexual assault in Norwich

Police are appealing for information following a sexual assault in Norwich.

The victim, a woman in her late 20s, was walking along Unthank Road, close to Beechbank, at approximately 4.15am on Monday 1 January when she was approached by a man who sexually assaulted her.

The man made off from the scene when he was approached by a group of people who had just been dropped off by a taxi in Beechbank.

Officers are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident. They would particularly like to trace the driver of the taxi who was in the area at the time.
