Woman charged with attempted murder

A woman is due in court this morning (Monday 12 February) charged with attempted murder following a stabbing in Thetford in January.

Officers were called to a residential property in Kimms Belt at approximately 7.30pm on Wednesday 31 January 2018 and discovered a man in his 30s who had received stab wounds.

The victim is currently in a stable condition at Papworth Hospital.

Agnieszka Kusmierz, aged 33 and of Kimms Belt in Thetford, has been charged with attempted murder. She has been remanded into custody and is due to appear before Ipswich Magistrates Court this morning.

Man injured in Thetford stabbing

Detectives from Thetford CID are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding a stabbing which took place in Thetford last night (Wednesday 31 January 2018).

At around 7.30pm officers were called to a residential property in Kimms Belt in the town. Upon arrival they discovered a man in his 30s who had received stab injuries.

The victim is currently in a critical, but stable condition in intensive care at Papworth Hospital.

A man and a woman, also in their 30s, have been arrested in connection with the incident and have been taken to separate police investigation centres to await questioning. It is believed that they are both known to the victim.
