Norwich death not suspicious

Officers investigating the death of a body discovered in Norwich are treating its cause as unexplained, although it is not believed to be suspicious.

The discovery of the body was made by officers on Marriott’s Way, near to Bridge Street and Baker Street, shortly before 4.30pm on Wednesday (31 January).

This follows a post mortem examination carried out by the Home Office today which concluded that further tests are still due to be carried out.

The police seal has been removed and a file will be prepared for the coroner in due course.

Detectives are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of a woman in Norwich.

It’s after a body was discovered by officers on Marriotts Way, near to Bridge Street and Barker Street, around 4.30pm yesterday afternoon, Wednesday 31 January.

The death is currently being treated as unexplained and a Home Office post mortem examination is due to take place tomorrow afternoon (Friday 2 February).

A seal remains in place at the scene whilst enquiries continue.

Police can confirm the body of a woman has been discovered in Norwich.

The discovery was made by officers on Marriotts Way, near to Bridge Street and Barker Street, shortly before 4.30pm yesterday afternoon, Wednesday 31 January.

The area has been sealed off and the death is currently being treated as unexplained.
