Campaign launched: 20 April 2020

As the country faced unprecedented challenges and millions of people were asked to stay at home to help protect the NHS and save lives, Norfolk's emergency services and partner agencies looked to spread a little positivity and happiness. 

To compliment the NHS rainbow campaign and to demonstrate how the blue light services and other agencies work together, we encouraged our communities to display sunflowers in their windows, which could be drawn, painted, knitted, or created in any other way. Many shared their creations with us on social media, some can be viewed below.

When our officers were out and about on patrol, and saw the sunflower displays, they posted a packet of sunflower seeds through the door. Homeowners were able to then plant these, watch them growinto a beautiful sunflower at the end. Many posted updates on the growth of their sunflower!
