A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our outstanding team on a temporary basis. 

Applications are invited for the post of Wellbeing Advisor in the Workplace Health, Safety and Wellbeing Department based at Capel St Mary Police Station, with some home working.

The successful applicant will provide a comprehensive and proactive wellbeing service to Norfolk and Suffolk Constabularies. The post holder will be jointly responsible for contributing to the planning and delivery of wellbeing programmes and initiatives for the organisation and will play a key part in pushing the direction for Force wide Wellbeing initiatives.

What makes you passionate about wellbeing and what do you think are the challenges of creating a ‘well’ workforce and integrating a wellbeing programme into our organisation?

 

It is essential that applicants meet the following criteria:

  • Background in psychology (degree or equivalent experience)
  • Interest in mental health and wellbeing
  • Broad experience of stress and trauma management
  • Effective and confident communicator with proven ability to adapt style when dealing with internal and external colleagues/agencies
  • Proven experience of delivering or coordinatoing employee engagement programmes
  • Experience of designing and delivering presentation and training materials to small and large groups
  • Ability to travel/work across both Norfolk and Suffolk dividing the working week based in either location as required
  • Ability to work outside normal office hours on an on-call rota basis
  • Ability to demonstrate an understanding of police culture and its impact on the wellbeing of staff and officers

 

 

It is desirable that applicants meet the following criteria:

  • Experience and knowledge of Trauma Risk Management (TRiM) models of post trauma support
  • Previous experience in Welfare/psychological support role in a relevant organisation

 

Hours of work are 37 per week Monday to Friday.  This post is offered on a temporary basis.

 

Interviews will take place on Tuesday 5 October.
