£28,725 - £32,673 per annum

The Norfolk Executive team are looking for an organised, confident person to support the new Deputy Chief Constable in undertaking their local and national roles.    Applications are invited for the above post in the Norfolk Executive Office at OCC. 

The successful applicant will be a strong communicator with the ability to competently multi-task.  They will have an eye for detail and methodical yes highly efficient in their approach to work. 

 

It is essential that applicants meet the following criteria:  

  • Excellent organisational skills and a proven ability to manage and prioritise a diverse workload 

  • The commitment to continued discretion and confidentiality 

  • Good keyboard skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite 

  • Good negotiation and persuasive skills 

  • Developed communication and interpersonal skills and proven ability to interact effectively with people at all levels 

  • Demonstrates an ability to compile complex reports and to work to tight timescales 

  • Demonstrates political and strategic awareness 

  • The ability to prioritise own work and that of the Deputy Chief Constable 

  • Demonstrate a detailed knowledge of the Norfolk Constabulary organisational structure 

  • Full driving licence and the ability to drive as requested   

 

It is desirable that applicants meet the following criteria: 

  • Ability to work flexibly when mutually agreeable 

 

Hours of work are 37 per week Monday to Friday.  This post is offered on a temporary basis. 

Consideration will be given to whether the post can be delivered on either a part time or job share basis, in line with the organisational requirements of this role.
