£21,135 - £23,817 per annum

The Contact and Control Room is a busy and sometimes demanding environment. The hub of communication across the county, its staff deal with emergency calls and command major incidents, as well as being responsible for all other forms of contact and police deployment. Applications are invited for the above post in the CCR (Contact & Control Room) at the OCC, Wymondham.
The successful applicant will provide an effective and efficient service in relation to all aspects of duties, undertaking day to day administration, preventing staffing shortages across CCR, ensuring there are enough resources to meet the demand and service delivery whilst staff are provided with adequate rest break slots and time-off requests are managed appropriately.
They will also monitor the CCR establishment working with the supervisor on recruitment, welfare and succession plans.
It is essential that applicants meet the following criteria:
Working Knowledge of the Equality Act and European working time directive
Proven ability to gather and review information, identify options and recommend or select appropriate actions.
Evidence of effective planning and organisational skills to manage sometimes conflicting priorities to meet objectives and deadlines with the minimum supervision
Demonstrate strong customer focus
Proven IT literacy with sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and competent data inputting/adjusting on computerised databases
It is desirable that applicants meet the following criteria:
Experience in CCR systems including Teleopti and Mitel
Working knowledge of the Crown DMS and duty rosters
Sound understanding of the Police staff handbook and Police Regulations with regard to working conditions
Hours of work are 37 per week Monday to Friday. This post is offered on a temporary basis.
Consideration will be given to whether the post can be delivered on either a part time or job share basis, in line with the organisational requirements of this role.
