There is a specific eligibility criteria that you must comply with to become a Detective Constable. Therefore you must complete the questions below in order to be emailed an application pack. If you do not comply with this criteria or answer the questions truthfully your application will not be progressed.

For example: 1. CCJ – has this been cleared and a certificate of satisfaction provided 2. IVA – Total amount of debt, monthly repayment, date IVA started, length of IVA 3. Bankruptcy – Date entered into bankruptcy (if not yet issued certificate of discharge) or date of discharge.
If yes, please note you will not be eligible to apply.
If yes, please note you will be required to send photos of these tattoos with your application form for assessment. Any tattoos seen to be discriminatory, rude, lewd, crude, sexist, sectarian, homophobic, violent or intimidating will result in your application being withdrawn.
If you only hold a provisional licence you will not be eligible to apply.

As we need to run additional checks on you, it may take us longer to determine your eligibility. If you are successful, an application pack will be emailed to you.
