It can take up to ten days to grant a pedlar's certificate.

What you'll need

You'll need the following to complete your application:

Your contact details, including:

• email address
• phone number
• previous addresses if you haven’t lived at your current address for more than one year

Documents including a:

• proof of address (such as; a utility bill or a bank statement)
• proof of ID (such as; a passport, driving licence or identity card)
• one passport size photo (no larger than 1MB in size and is are .jpg/.jpeg format)
• certificate of overseas criminal records check (if you have lived outside of the UK for 12 months or more)
• national ID card (if you were not born in the UK) 
• a scanned copy of your work permit (if you are not a permanent resident of the UK) 

The details of two referees who have known you for at least 12 months.

• their date and place of birth
• their occupation

Please note: Referees must be UK residents. Referees can't be members of your family or a serving police officer or staff

Application steps
