Human Resources

Norfolk Constabulary employs approximately 1490 police officers, 1400 members of police staff, and 252 Special Constables. The Human Resources Team works to make sure that the Constabulary recruits, trains and develops a diverse, skilled and healthy workforce, which can respond to the unique challenges of policing and reflect the changing communities within Norfolk.

The Human Resources Team also provide essential support to ensure that the Constabulary maximises the effectiveness of its workforce. This contributes to the performance of the Force, helping us to build trust and confidence in our communities and reduce crime and disorder.

 

The HR Team is made up of:

  • HR Services
    HR Services consists of a team of HR Business Partners, who provide professional advice, guidance and coaching covering all aspects of people management. HR Services also covers Occupational Health and Wellbeing and Health and Safety.
     
  • HR Business Services
    HR Business Services consists of the HR Service Centre, the Management Information Team and HR Business Support.
     
  • Resourcing
    The Resourcing team is responsible for Duties Management, Police Officer Recruitment, the Special Constabulary, Police Support Volunteers and Workforce Planning.
     
  • HR Change
    The HR Change Team is responsible for the HR Processes in relation to Change Management, HR Policy Development and Reward Management.
     
  • Learning and Development
    Learning and Development are responsible for every aspect of training our workforce to ensure it is fit to meet the demand of modern-day policing.
