The Community Safety department works to put the needs of individual people first in our decision-making processes, in the services we offer and delivering what they expect of us in a timeframe that is acceptable.

The department is headed by a Police Chief Inspector and covers a diverse range of work portfolios including:

• alcohol licensing
• substance misuse including legal highs
• architectural liaison and crime reduction
• equality and diversity
• community impact assessment.
