A dairy cow in a fieldFarmwatch Ltd is a scheme which works with Norfolk Constabulary to help the farming community tackle crime.

More than 450 farms across the county are members of the scheme, which was set up more than 20 years ago and is run by three retired police officers.

The services it offers include:

  • Providing practical crime prevention advice to farmers and landowners to ensure their property and goods are as secure as possible.
  • Running a property marking scheme making it harder for thieves to dispose of stolen goods.
  • Advising and fitting CCTV and alarm installations.
  • Running a website detailing farmer’s stolen property and equipment.
  • Publishing a regular newsletter to keep members updated with latest crime trends and prevention tips as well as details of suspect vehicles being used by criminals in the area.

Farmwatch is a resource for both farmers and police officers.
