Key Facts

  • The University and Eaton neighbourhood is located in the Norwich district and covers the Norwich wards of University and Eaton. The area has a mixture of private and rented housing.
  • There are two large parks, Eaton Park which is the largest historic park in Norwich and attracts many visitors and Earlham Park which slopes down towards the River Yare and holds various events including the firework spectacular ‘Sparks in the Park’ every November.
  • The University of East Anglia is big part of the neighbourhood and caters for some 15,000 students including many international students from over 100 countries. It also employs in the region of 3000 staff. Also on this site are the Norwich Sportspark, the largest fitness centre in East Anglia and the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts.

Welcome to the University and Eaton Safer Neighbourhood pages. We have a small team of police officers and police community support officers dedicated to each part of the neighbourhood and we are working with members of the community every day to look at long term solutions to problems that are raised with us.

In addition to the Beat Managers and PCSOs, every Safer Neighbourhood has five teams of Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) Patrol officers who will respond to your calls for service 24 hours a day, investigate the crimes in your area and work with the Beat Managers and PCSOs to deliver your local priorities.

We are listening to your issues and concerns and working with our partners to improve the quality of life in your neighbourhood.
