Key Facts

  • The Poringland neighbourhood is a large geographical area located in South Norfolk comprising of twenty-one parishes.
  • The population is diverse with a mixture of age groups. Many residents work in the rural industry and a high number commute to Norwich and the surrounding areas on a daily basis.
  • Sites of interest include the ‘Roman Camp’ situated in Caistor St Edmund and the Whittlingham Country Park. This park is covered by a lake where there are many water sports activities held, and a large area of woodland and countryside walks.

  • November 2011 - To work with partner agencies to address issues of anti-social behaviour and crime at Whitlingham Country Park and Whitlingham Lane
  • November 2011 - To target low-level crime and anti-social behaviour in Poringland, close to the recreation ground and footpath in the evenings
