Key Facts

  • The Harleston neighbourhood is a rural location made up of 12 parishes in the South of Norfolk bordering Suffolk.
  • There is a resident population of approximately 10,000. The neighbourhood is largely made up of small villages set within farmland.
  • Harleston is the main market town comprising of approximately 4,000 residents. There are a range of shops, amenities and a high school in the local area.

Insp Alice ScottWelcome to the Harleston Safer Neighbourhood Team page. The neighbourhood is a rural location in the south of Norfolk bordering Suffolk.

In addition to the Beat Managers and PCSOs, every Safer Neighbourhood has five teams of Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) Patrol officers who will respond to your calls for service 24 hours a day, investigate the crimes in your area and work with the Beat Managers and PCSOs to deliver your local priorities.

We are listening to your issues and concerns and working with our partners to improve the quality of life in your neighbourhood.

    • The Minority Ethnic Liaison Officers act as a skilled resource to officers and the public, offering assistance in dealing with hate crimes and raising awareness on a variety of issues affecting minority communities. Part of which is to liaise and work with different groups that cover the diversity strands- sexual orientation, race/ethnicity, religion, age, gender and disability.
