Key Facts

  • The Gorleston neighbourhood comprises of the town centre, residential areas to the north and south and the seafront area. There is a thriving shopping area and historic old town, which attracts people from all over the district. It is located adjacent to the River Yare which still has a working fishing wharf.
  • Gorleston still remains a resort with the seafront area that attracts large number of visitors during the summer to the beach and arcades.. In addition a thriving night-time economy comprised of a popular night club and other licensed premises, draw a regular influx of visitors throughout the year.
  • Gorleston has relatively low levels of crime and remains a safe place to live and visit.
