Man arrested over racist incident

Police in Diss are appealing for information following a racist
incident in the Market Place.
It happened on Thursday 2 February at about 4pm as the young
male victim stood outside the Norwich and Peterborough Building
Society with friends.
The victim was approached by two men and one was verbally
abusive towards him. The men continued walking along Mere Street
where one of the men was again verbally abusive towards a group of
females.
A 35-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the
incident and has been released on bail until February 22 while
police continue with their enquiries.
Officers would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed
the incident or has information concerning it.
