Norfolk Constabulary is appealing for a Good Samaritan who went to the aid of a man who was assaulted on Christmas Day to come forward.

The woman, who was with two young children, helped the male who had been assaulted in the Heigham Street area of Norwich at around 5pm on Sunday 25 December 2011.

A 31-year-old man from the Norwich area has been arrested in connection with the incident however officers would like to hear from the woman as she may be able to provide vital information.
