Norwich burglar sentenced
1 December 2011
An 18-year-old man who broke into a Norwich home and stole a
laptop and camera has been given a suspended prison sentence.
Bradley Saffer, of Marlpit Lane, Norwich, appeared at the city’s
crown court on Wednesday 23 November when he was sentenced after
pleading guilty to burglary at an earlier hearing.
The court heard that on Saturday 4 June Saffer forced the back
door of a property on Lawson Road and stole a Samsung laptop and a
Canon digital camera before fleeing the scene as the householder
returned home.
Saffer asked the court to take a further 24 similar offences
into consideration and he was sentenced to eight months
imprisonment suspended for 18 months and ordered to take part in a
specified activity requirement.
