Homewatch administrator awarded for her commitment
A HomeWatch Administrator has been honoured with an award for
her contribution and commitment to the Broadland HomeWatch
Association.
The former Administrator in the Broadland District, Mrs
Christine Robson, received the Norman Potter Memorial Award at the
Broadland HomeWatch Associations Annual General Meeting, held last
week.
Mrs Robson first got involved in HomeWatch 20 years ago and went
on to set up the first successful HomeWatch scheme in Dussindale,
Thorpe St Andrew before helping to set up The Norwich and District
Association and becoming chair.
Christine worked hours outside of her usual working day to
attend events and meetings to promote HomeWatch and set up new
schemes.
The award was accepted by Betty Abley on behalf of Christine,
who was unable to attend the meeting.
Roy Robson Chairman of Broadland HomeWatch Association said: "It
was very gratifying to see such an excellent turnout, I urge all
co-ordinators in Broadland to keep up the good work they do to help
keep Broadland one of the safest places to live in the UK".
Home Watch provides a way for local people to play an important
part in keeping where you live safe and reducing crime and the fear
of crime.
