Octane warrant leads to drug charge
28 November 2012
A 28-year-old man has been charged with cannabis possession
after police raided a Norwich flat in October as part of a
countywide operation.
Officers discovered about 30 plants at the address growing in a
bedroom and cupboard.
Two people were arrested at the scene in connection with drugs
offences and questioned by police at Wymondham Police Investigation
Centre.
Luke Ferret, of Heathgate, has since been charged with
possessing 35.4 grams of cannabis and has been bailed to appear
before Norwich Magistrates Court on Tuesday 11 December.
No further action will be taken against a 32-year-old man
arrested in connection with the incident.
The warrant was carried out as part of Operation Octane – a
countywide day of action held on 11 October targeting criminal
activity including drugs offences and anti-social behaviour.
