The family of a man who died in a road traffic collision in
Thetford has released a tribute to him.
Tim Edwards, who was 61 and of Olle Close in Bury St Edmunds,
died at the scene of the collision on the A134 Barnham Cross Common
on the morning of Monday 3 December 2012.
His family has issued the following statement:
"Tim was a much loved husband of Julie, father to Sarah, Maria
and Terry, brother to Terry and devoted granddad to Mia.
"He was a sociable character, well known in town through both
his love of real ale and his days as a rhythm guitarist with Tutch
and later Nelsons Column.
"Recently Tim was self-employed but he had previously had a
successful career as a qualified engineer starting at Woollatt and
Mitchell and going on to work as a buyer at Vitality Bulbs, Heeco
and AMOT Controls."
Officers are continuing to appeal for witnesses to the collision
which involved three cars at around 6am on Monday morning, contact

Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road
traffic collision in Thetford.
At around 6am this morning, Monday 3 December 2012, three cars –
a VW Golf, an Audi and an Alfa Romeo - were in collision on the
A134 at Barnham Cross Common. Sadly the driver of the Golf, a man
in his 60s from Bury St Edmunds, died at the scene. Two other
people suffered minor injuries in the collision and were taken to
the West Suffolk Hospital.
Officers want to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the
collision or manner of driving of the vehicles involved beforehand,
