A driver has died following a road traffic collision involving two motor cars and a van on Lynn Road (B1440), Ingoldisthorpe yesterday afternoon.

The initial collision near to the junction with Hill Road, took place around 5pm and involved a Blue Ford Ka motor car and a red Suzuki Ignis motor car.

The Suzuki Ignis was then in collision with a white Ford Transit van on Lynn Road. As a result of the collision the driver of the Suzuki Ignis was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital but unfortunately died soon after.

Police are appealing for witnesses to anyone who saw the collision and or the manner of driving of each of the vehicles prior to the collision.
