Norfolk Black History Month
Norfolk Black History Month brings together a
diverse set of people to celebrate the contribution of black people
past and present. It provides a platform for Norfolk Constabulary
to promote community cohesion through building trust and confidence
among our diverse communities. It also gives everyone the
opportunity and confidence to look into and appreciate their own
and others history and heritage.
Over 40 events will be held across Norfolk
during October. Norfolk Black History Month can help to
promote diversity, challenge prejudice and engage
with Norfolk’s diverse communities.
Corporate Equality & Diversity Manager
Abraham Eshetu said: “The Constabulary is extremely pleased and
proud to once again be supporting Norfolk Black History Month. It
provides the Force with an opportunity to help celebrate the
contribution of our diverse communities. I’d urge everyone to take
a look at the website and maybe go along to some of the various
events that are taking place over the next four weeks.”
