Three charged after snowdrops stolen in Little Walsingham

Police investigating the theft of snowdrops in Walsingham have charged three people.

Officers stopped a car on the A148 at Little Walsingham at around 2am on Wednesday 13 March and found a large number of snowdrops.

Subsequent enquiries established they had been stolen from the grounds of Walsingham Abbey.

Three men have been charged with theft and criminal damage. They are:

  • Peter Gibbs, aged 30 and of Colvile Road in Newton-in-the-Isle in Cambridgeshire;
  • Louis Stoker, aged 22 and of Walton Road in East Winch;
  • Stefan Simpson, aged 30 and of Lilac Close in Wisbech.

All three have been released on police bail to appear before King’s Lynn Magistrates Court on Monday 25 March 2019.
