Control Room operator

Our police support staff function is extremely diverse and vital to effective policing in Norfolk. It is made up of many different roles to support front-line officers. These include dealing with public enquiries at the counter of a police station, gathering evidence at the scene of a crime, providing IT, administration, recruitment and financial support and even answering emergency calls in the control room!

How much will you earn?

The salary ranges for all pay scales with effect from 1st September 2009:

Management Grade 4  £40,647 - £43,407

We will pay you every four weeks by automatic credit to your bank or building society account.

 

Flexible working

Child care support
A child care voucher scheme providing tax benefits is available.

 

Annual leave
You will receive 24 days holiday per year. After 5 years service you will receive 29 days per year. You will receive additional leave if you work bank holidays.

 

Pension
You will be given the option of joining the local Government Pension Scheme.

 

Subsidised meals
At some locations there is a canteen from which staff can buy subsidised meals.

 

Social and Sports clubs
Each policing area has its own sports and social club. Members can enjoy a wide range of organised activities ranging from netball to climbing, clay pigeon shooting to mountain sports and subsidised trips and holiday breaks.
