PC and PCSO talking with a member of the public in Attleborough

Before you apply, make sure you have read all the information in this section so that you understand the role of a Police Community Support Officer (PCSO), whether you are eligible and whether the role suits you. You will find 'What type of person is a PCSO?' particularly helpful.

To ensure that new recruits fully establish themselves within our communities and Safer Neighbourhood Team , PCSOs who join the Constabulary will be restricted from applying for police officer and other police staff roles for a period of 24 months from their date of joining.

Please also read the Norfolk Constabulary and Diversity page. This explains how we are keen to develop a workforce to serve a diverse community. It also gives information about how we can help potential applicants with their applications to Norfolk Constabulary, as well as the ongoing support we give to all our staff through our extensive staff support networks.

When completing your application form, please remember to state which District Council area you prefer to work in (Norwich City, North Norfolk, Breckland etc).
