Norfolk Constabulary's promise to the public is captured in its

Requirement to register with the Police
As a condition of entry into the United Kingdom, or as a
condition to remain, certain foreign nationals are required to
register with the police in whose area they are to reside within
seven days of arrival.
NOTE - only Foreign Nationals who are 16 years of age and over
are required to register. If under 16 years old and the VISA shows
a requirement to register, they should only register when they
reach the age of 16.
Such a requirement is endorsed within the passport of the
foreign national by the UK Immigration Service (UKIS) or the Home
Office Immigration and Nationality Directorate (HOIND).
In the absence of a passport, the requirement to register with
the police will be endorsed in correspondence or documentation
supplied to the foreign national by either UKIS or HOIND.
A foreign national who is registered with the police is issued
with a Police Registration Certificate (PRC). In addition, the
subject's passport is endorsed with the PRC number and
date-stamped.
Locations to register
The Nationalities Clark for Police Registration is located at
the Operations and Communications Centre (OCC), Wymondham, NR18
0WW, Norfolk. Telephone: 01953 424851.
The clerk is available, by appointment only, Tuesday to
Thursday from 9am to 1pm, and 2pm to 4pm and a satellite
registration surgery is open at the University of East Anglia (UEA)
every Monday from 9am to 11am and 11.45am to 3pm.
A foreign national who attends at any other police station or
site in the force area to register with the police (including any
subsequent changes to their personal circumstances or details) will
be directed to the Operations and Communications Centre
"registration location" as listed above.
What documents will I require to register?
First Time Registrations
If you are registering for the first time, you will be asked to
bring with you the following:
1.Your passport
2.Two passport-size photographs
3.Registration fee of £34. Payment should made with Bank of
England notes and coins.
4. If you are a student, you must bring your university/college
offer letter with details of your studies.
5.If an organisation or company is sponsoring your studies, you
should bring a letter from the organisation to confirm this.
6.If you are employed in the United Kingdom you must bring your
work permit and details of your employers.
7.Proof of Address – e.g. university/college/institute licence
agreement, utility bill, tenancy agreement
Transfers/Amendments or Changes to your
details
If you are notifying subsequent changes to your personal
circumstances or details you will be asked to take along your
Police Registration Certificate.
The Nationalities Clerk for Police Registration Unit can be
contacted on the above telephone number.
If you are notifying of subsequent change as a result of
transfer, amendment or change of detail, you will be asked to bring
with you the following:
1.Your passport
2. One passport-size photograph
3. If you are a student, you must bring your university/college
offer letter with details of your studies.
4. If an organisation or company is sponsoring your studies, you
should bring a letter from the organisation to confirm this.
5. If you are employed in the United Kingdom you must bring your
work permit and details of your employers.

Replacement or Re-issue of Certificate
If you are applying for a replacement of your certificate due to
loss, damage or completion, you have to bring the following
documents:
1. Your passport
2. Two passport size-photographs
3. Registration fee of £34. Payment should made with Bank of

4. you are a student, you must bring your university/college
offer letter with details of your studies.
5. If an organisation or company is sponsoring your studies, you
should bring a letter from the organisation to confirm this.

By car towards Thetford
Take the A11 out of Norwich
Continue out over the A47 Bypass towards Thetford and London
Three and a half miles south of A47 Bypass take the B1135
turnoff to Dereham, Wymondham and Gateway 11 Business Park.
Turn right at the first roundabout and left at the second.
