Norfolk Police’s Firearms Licensing Unit is responsible for the issue of certificates and permits for firearms, shotguns and explosives within the county of Norfolk.

The Unit provides advice and guidance on firearm and explosives related matters and will dispose of unwanted firearms and ammunition.

What form do I need?

  • Firearms & Shotgun Application Form - for new applications and renewals
  • Firearms Application Guidance
  • Variations Form - to make an alteration or change to an existing firearms certificate
  • Visitors Permit - for UK residents to act as sponsors for overseas visitors
  • Weapons Transfer Forms - for notifcation of buying or selling of guns
  • Violent Crime Reduction Act 2006
