Norfolk Constabulary Community Safety Accreditation Scheme approved organisations are:

EventGuard Ltd
EventGuard Ltd is a private security company specialising in stewarding public events, along with other roles such as key holding, mobile & static patrols and door supervision. EventGuard Ltd was accredited on 10 October 2008. Currently there are 13 accredited persons which will rise to 25 by the end of December 2008.

 

Wherry Housing Association
Wherry Housing Association has over 6,000 premises for which it is the landlord across Norfolk. WHA also have 13 Accredited Persons and were accredited on 10 October 2008.

 

Vehicle and Operator Services Agency (VOSA)
The Vehicle and Operator Services Agency (VOSA) provides a range of licensing, testing and enforcement services with the aim of improving the roadworthiness standards of vehicles ensuring the compliance of operators and drivers, and supporting the independent Traffic Commissioners. They have been given a small number of police powers to assist them in carrying out their duties.

 

VSG Ltd
VSG are a national company providing manned guarding, electronic security and support services across the UK. In Norfolk they hold the contract for services at The Castle Mall and joined the Community Safety Accreditation Scheme in December 2009.

 

Europa Services
Europa are a leading independently owned property and infrastructure support services company that deliver integrated Building and Facilities Management Services across the country. In Norfolk they hold the contract for services at The Chapelfield Shopping Centre and joined the Community Safety Accreditation Scheme in August 2010.

 

First Group PLC
First is a worldwide company who operate extensive bus services across the whole of the United Kingdom. In March 2011 they joined a joint Community Safety Accreditation Scheme across Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex Police areas that gives key members of their operational staff limited police powers to help them tackle incidents of antisocial behavior which may occasionally occur on their services.

 

Trading Standards Services – Norfolk County Council
Trading Standards operate across Norfolk to protect legitimate businesses from unfair competition in the market place and make sure consumers are not put at risk by rogues. They joined the scheme during 2009 and will be able to use a limited number to police powers to help them in their work.

 

The British cycling Federation
The British Cycling Federation is the internationally recognised governing body of cycle sport in the UK. They joined CSAS in a number of counties in our region including Norfolk and have been given powers to direct traffic. This allows them to manage organised cycle events across the county after appropriate consultation with our local Traffic Managers and Safety Advisory groups.

 

Public Notice
CSAS logoFor a power to be used by an Accredited Persons, the CSAS Logo (see right) must be visible on clothing that identifies the organisation they work for, at chest height.

It is acceptable for the badge to be worn on the upper part of a sleeve.

Each Accredited Person carries an identity card which is credit card sized, and has the CSAS Logo as a silver hologram in the top right corner.

 

Trainers

Any training organisation delivering CSAS training has to be approved by Norfolk Constabulary and meet the criteria as defined by "Skills for Security".

The listed trainers have agreed to deliver training, at a location defined by the customer organisation, and will deliver the 5 days training as to the requirements of the customer organisation.
