Blazeby
Julian Blazeby joined Norfolk Constabulary in October 2005 after
serving 21 years with Suffolk Constabulary.
During his service with Suffolk Constabulary, he carried out a
variety of roles, including CID, covert operations and a four year
secondment to the National Crime Squad.
After successfully applying to join the High Potential
Development Scheme (HPDS), he has progressed through the ranks
performing a number of front-line operational and strategic roles,
before transferring to Norfolk on promotion to Detective
Superintendent, Director of Intelligence.
Qualified as an accredited negotiator, Senior Investigating
Officer, and Gold Firearms and Critical Incident Commander, he also
has a Masters degree in Criminal Justice from Leicester University
and a Diploma in Applied Criminology and Police Management from
Cambridge University.
He took over as Detective Chief Superintendent, Head of
Protective Services Command in July 2007.
