Norfolk Constabulary employs approximately 1,660 police
officers, 1,500 members of police staff, including Police Community
Support Officers (PCSOs), and 265 Special Constables. We also enjoy
the support of an ever-increasing number of volunteers.
Providing professional Human Resource support is essential to
ensure that the constabulary maximises the effectiveness of its
workforce. This in turn contributes to the performance of the
Force, helping us to build trust and confidence in our communities
and reduce crime and disorder.
One essential element of this is to ensure that we recruit,
train and develop a diverse, skilled and healthy workforce, which
can effectively respond to the unique challenges of policing and
increasingly reflect the changing communities within Norfolk.
