What is the Safer Norfolk Foundation?

Norfolk Constabulary is working with an organisation called The Norfolk Community Foundation to help manage the force’s charitable donations to disadvantaged and vulnerable groups.

The Norfolk Community Foundation manages funds on behalf of companies, trusts and public agencies, acting as the vital link between local donors and local needs.

In conjunction with the Norfolk Community Foundation, the Constabulary has set up the Safer Norfolk Foundation. This awards grants to projects that seek to improve the quality of life of those living and working in Norfolk.

The Safer Norfolk Foundation is managed on behalf of the Constabulary by the Norfolk Community Foundation, which handles the administration of funds, including grant applications and monitoring grants awarded.

How does the Safer Norfolk Foundation generate money?

Money is generated by the sale of lost or stolen items that, despite the Constabulary’s best efforts, cannot be reunited with their rightful owner. Lost and stolen items are sold through the national police property disposal sites.
